Over 1,000 senior (50+) adults have registered to participate in the 2024 Northern Virginia Senior Olympics (NVSO). This is a 15% increase over last year, which had been the highest number of participants in our over 40 years.

The 2024 Northern Virginia Senior Olympics (NVSO) starts on Saturday, September 14 with the Opening Ceremony at 9:30 am. Track and Rowing events will follow. See the entire schedule of 2024 events and details on each individual event.

Big shout-out to our generous Patrons. Many will be represented at the Opening Ceremony. Please stop by their tables, learn about their organizations and say thank you!

Schedule updates will appear here:

  • Rummikub will be held on Wednesday, September 18 at 4:00pm instead of 3:00pm. Still at Walter Reed Community Center.
  • Bocce will be held on Thursday, September 19 at 9:00am instead of 10:00am. Still at Fairfax City Senior Center, Green Acres
