NVSO 2026

Michael Coleman carries the torch at 2026 NVSO swimming event.

NVSO events are underway! The first events were swimming held at Ashburn Recreation & Community Center in Loudoun County on September 11. These events included: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle, and individual medley.

Michael Coleman, NVSO 2026 Chair, carried the torch in memory of the 25th anniversary of September 11.

NVSO for 2026 will host the largest number of participants ever with 1,356 senior adults (ages 50+) registered to enjoy 96 events over 22 days at 34 locations across Northern Virginia. More senior adults than ever before were involved for days of Living Healthy Longer in opportunities for participation, competition, self-improvement and fellowship through various athletic and recreational events.

New events for NVSO in 2026 are darts and rock climbing! Weightlifting returns!
